Ben Brown started his career in 2012 with the Department of Energy’s Kansas City National Security Campus, which is managed by Honeywell. He was hired into the advanced technology development group where he works on production application of metal additive manufacturing. Brown has three pending patents and has authorship on three journal papers and seven conference papers covering additive manufacturing processing and inspection methods. His current research involves process-structure-property relationships in additive manufacturing, and he serves as technical advisor on several university collaboration projects.
Brown earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering in 2012 and a master of science degree in manufacturing engineering in 2014, both from Missouri S&T. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T.
